Cast in fire, shaped by matter and chance.

Jewels sculpted to reveal the beauty of imperfection.

I am fascinated by matter in transformation, by the moment when fire and material converge to give rise to a new form. In this process, the jewel becomes a small sculpture, a place where material, time and wearer meet. Gold, silver and gemstones flow together, forming earthy structures that evoke natural processes such as erosion, fossilization and mineralization.

Exploring the beauty of imperfection, my jewels arise from an attentiveness to the process where matter takes shape, transforms and allows the ephemeral to persist in metal. Geological processes unfold on an intimate scale, from fusion and crystallization to fossilization and erosion. What would normally dissolve or disappear acquires a new presence in metal.

Cavities, rough structures or spontaneously formed textures are not corrected. For me, they are meaningful moments that shape the character of the work. In the casting process, I leave room for the unexpected. As molten metal finds its way through earth, minerals and matter, a dialogue emerges between control and chance. In that moment, alchemy happens.

The body ultimately becomes the place where the work is completed. Only when a jewel is worn does the full dialogue between form, tactility and hu man presence emerge. Wearable sculptures come into being, where matter, time and body converge, allowing the jewel to become an encounter between human and material.
